Nokia photo transfer pc1/23/2024 ![]() I use warpinator over my home wifi for most things, but if I'm transferring a movie or camera footage then I'm connecting by usb cable because it's too slow for anything higher than 3-400MB and beyond. All Pics are typically in the DCIM folder. Connect the phone to the PC and allow any permission on the phone for the PC to connect, and you should see the phone's storage & sdcard if installed to access. Now look down the entries for 'default usb connection' and change that to File Transfer. Then back out to settings and look for 'Developer Mode' and select it. Typically goes like, settings/about phone and look for the 'Build' section and tap on it 10 times till it's enabled. You need to know how to enable 'developer mode' option. If that didn't work, your last option is to manually set the default usb connection to 'File Transfer' other than 'Charging' mode. This might already be given as an option if you drop down the top notification drawer and look at (if any) options for the usb connection (when connected). You should see an option to change the default connection from charging to file transfer. This varies by android version, but typically you'd go into settings and search 'usb' and look for connection type. If we missed any of the best methods or apps to transfer files from Android to PC, tell us about them in the comments. If your phone is an android OS phone, you need to put it into file transfer mode. This only works from one Android device to another, but it’s still a method to move files around. You can quickly share small or large files with devices right next to you. Android’s Nearby Share feature: Android’s Nearby Share utility works much like Apple AirDrop, but for Android. You use a file manager app to move the files to the SD card, pop it out of your phone (after turning it off, of course), and then use an adapter like this one to transfer files to your PC. Your microSD card: Devices with microSD card support can transfer files much like flash drives. This is the most common and reliable method of transferring files to a PC from Android devices. Just plug your phone into your computer using the USB cable that comes with your charger. Use your data or charging cable: This one is fairly obvious. Some, like Slack or Skype, have support for ZIP files, PDFs, and other file types. You send yourself the file in a chat on one device and retrieve it on another. Share to Chat: This works for a number of file types, especially if you use something like Discord, WhatsApp, Slack, or Skype. Most emails have a limit of around 25MB for attachments. Share by email: This only works with small files like photos or documents, but you can send most types of files over email. You use the cable to transfer documents from your flash drive or external hard drive, or vice versa. USB On-The-Go: OTG cables allow you to connect your device to USB devices such as external hard drives or flash drives. The transfer rates are very slow, so only use this method for smaller files. Use Bluetooth: If your laptop has a Bluetooth module or if you have a Bluetooth dongle for your desktop or laptop, you can pair your device with your computer using Bluetooth and send files that way.If apps aren’t your thing, there are still some other ways to transfer files from your PC to Android and vice versa. ![]()

Luminous meaning1/23/2024 ![]() ![]() The luminescent Bologna Stone (impure barite), which was discovered by Vincenzo Cascariolo in 1602, was sometimes called " lapis lunaris" ("lunar stone"), because, like the moon, it gave out in the darkness the light it received from the sun (Kunz 1913: 168). According to Prafulla Chandra Ray, the Indian king Bhoja (r. 1193–1280) and it was apparently rediscovered by Robert Boyle in 1663, who also found that some diamonds will luminesce under pressure. The phosphorescent quality of diamonds when heated by sunlight is usually believed to have been first revealed by Albertus Magnus (c. Both diamonds and white topaz may phosphoresce if heated below red heat. Most diamonds are triboluminescent if rubbed with a cloth, and a few are photoluminescent after exposure to direct sunlight. The American geologist Sydney Hobart Ball, who wrote an article on "Luminous Gems, Mythical and Real", outlined the history of discoveries about luminescent and phosphorescent minerals. ![]() Thermoluminescence re-emits previously absorbed electromagnetic radiation upon being heated (e.g., thermoluminescence dating). Triboluminescence generates light through the breaking of chemical bonds in a material when it is rubbed, pulled apart, scratched, or crushed. Two types of luminescent phenomena are relevant to crystalline materials. When the energy comes from light or other electromagnetic radiation, it is referred to as photoluminescence which is divisible between fluorescence when the glow ceases immediately with the excitation and phosphorescence when the glow continues beyond the period of excitation. Luminescence is caused by the absorption of energy that is released in small amounts. Luminescence is spontaneous emission of light by a substance not resulting from heat, as distinguished from incandescence, which is light emitted by a substance as a result of heating. Note that the following discussion will omit modern techniques such as X-rays and ultraviolet light that are too recent to have influenced folklore about luminous gems. Large spiral noodles1/23/2024 ![]() We do NOT recommend boiling the noodles, otherwise they'll get too soft and mushy like how zucchini noodles that are cooked improperly do. Make sure that the zucchini only cooks slightly, to preserve its fresh, crunchy texture. Throw in the zucchini noodles (with minced garlic if you want some flavor). Saute: Coat your skillet with some olive oil, then cook the noodles for 4-6 minutes while stirring frequently. Add oil to a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.Roast: Spray your baking sheet with some cooking spray, then throw on your noodles and cook in the oven for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees.Once you have your noodles, there are two ways to cook them: Once you’ve done that, you can just set it into your spiralizer like normal and churn out those noodles! Yes, it's totally possible to turn this into fun spirals! How to cook spiralized squash Make sure you get all the way through the skin when peeling, because it is really fibrous and not that enjoyable to eat. Peeling the skin off the remaining squash section.Cutting off the stem at the top, to create a flat surface. You can’t spiralize the bottom, rounder part of the squash because that’s where all the seeds are.īasically, you want to make an unpeeled log-shaped portion of squash by doing the follow: The noodles will be made out of the long neck of the squash. ![]() ![]() ![]() Lumpy produce won’t guide as easily on the spiralizer. Look for a butternut squash that is as evenly symmetrical as possible on all sides. As with any spiralized vegetable recipe, one of the keys to success is choosing the ideal squash and prepping it right. Butternut squash noodles are easy to make using a spiralizer. ![]()

Playmobil canadian mountie1/23/2024 ![]() The force has only one officer dedicated to policing the 2,400 residents of James Smith Cree Nation. Photograph: Canadian Press/Rex/Shutterstockīut that system is once again under scrutiny after the Saskatchewan murders, which highlightedthe RCMP’s deficiencies in rural areas and First Nations. People hold candles at a vigil remembering the stabbing victims in front of City Hall in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. But even in Newfoundland, the RCMP handles much of the rural policing. Only Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland have their own police forces. “It is my intention to have the jury wholly comprised of Indigenous persons,” said Weighill.ĭue to a quirk of Canadian policing, the RCMP oversees both federal criminal law enforcement as well as operating contract police services to most provinces and municipalities. Without a public hearing of the facts, it will leave many questions unanswered from the families involved and the public pertaining to the circumstances leading to the deaths,” chief coroner Clive Weighill said in a statement.Ī jury in the inquest will only be able to establish fact, not guilt, but can also issue recommendations. “With the suspect deceased, there will not be a public criminal trial. On Wednesday, Saskatchewan’s chief coroner announced that two inquests – for the stabbing victims and Myles Sanderson – would be launched in the spring. “We definitely saw some improvements in their general communications in Saskatchewan, but it is disturbing there has not been more information about how Mr Sanderson died,” said Roach, author of the recent book Canadian Policing: Why and How It Must Change. The RCMP also worked closely with local police forces, something they were criticized for not doing in Nova Scotia. ![]() ![]() The public inquiry heard that two victims died in the time it took Canadian police to get internal approval to tweet a warning to the public about the suspect.Īs the commission wrapped up this week, lawyer Sarah McCullough, who represents most of the 22 victims’ families, said the RCMP demonstrated it was fundamentally untrained, unprepared and unequipped for a major mass killing in a rural area.ĭuring the Saskatchewan attack, multiple alerts were sent out to warn residents of the threat. In that case, police failed to send an emergency alert warning locals of the ongoing threat, and waited 12 hours to alert the public that the suspect was driving a fake police car. The RCMP commissioner, Brenda Lucki, speaks with victims’ family members at an event after the mass stabbing at James Smith Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. Police have not publicly speculated on what triggered the eruption of violence in which Sanderson killed 10 people aged between 23 and 78 in the James Smith Cree Nation, an Indigenous community in northern Saskatchewan, and the neighbouring village of Weldon.Īfter the attacks, Sanderson remained at large for four days, with local communities on edge amid a string of false sightings.Īs officers searched for Sanderson, the RCMP was itself the subject of a sprawling public inquiry over its response to another mass killing on the other side of the country, when a lone gunman shot and killed 22 people over the course of 12 hours in rural Nova Scotia. “In many ways, the RCMP has lurched from crisis to crisis,” said Kent Roach, professor of law at the University of Toronto. ![]() National media have repeatedly pressed the force after the police said they would not release autopsy results.Īnd it emerged that – despite the fact that earlier in the summer an arrest warrant had been issued for Sanderson on unrelated charges – police do not appear to have been searching for him until he launched his stabbing spree on 4 September. In the days since Sanderson’s death, questions over police actions and communication with the public have continued to mount. These public communication fumbles – and a troubled legacy of scandals, lawsuits and policing failures – have renewed longstanding questions over the force’s structure. “I have never seen a more egregious case of burying the lede,” tweeted Siobhan Morris of CTV News.Īfter two mass killings in two years – both among the worst in the country’s history –the institutional opaqueness of Canada’s national police force has once again become the focus of criticism. Reporters covering the press conference were in disbelief. It was nearly five minutes after announcing his arrest that Blackmore added that Sanderson had died after he went into “medical distress” and was transported to hospital. ![]()

Dutch crunch roll recipe1/23/2024 ![]() ![]() My recipe isn’t a traditional Dutch crunch roll, because it’s more important to me to have a soft sandwich roll and then add Dutch crunch to that. That coating takes on a fun patterned crackle on the top of the bread that adds texture and flavor to the roll. The exterior crunch is formed by a thin glue-like batter made from rice flour, yeast, oil, and sugar. Here’s the link again to Kitchn’s Homemade Mozzarella recipe if you really want to give it a shot.ĭutch crunch, sometimes called tiger bread, is a San Francisco sandwich shop staple. BUY OR MAKE?ĭON’T MAKE THIS: making your own mozzarella is fun for a science experiment and it does taste good, but it costs more and takes A LOT longer than just buying it. But if you think there’s a chance that you might only make 2 or 3 batches (like me) then it will be much cheaper to just buy store-bought mozzarella. Since the recipe requires a whole gallon of milk, you could see some financial savings if you made a lot of batches of mozzarella. The fact that you must buy citric acid and liquid rennet makes this component of the sandwich a bit more challenging than everything else. I am glad I have learned how to make mozzarella, but I don’t know if I ever really want to become an expert in the process. It’s a good final product, but is it worth it to make your own? You can skip the marinade and just hit each piece of chicken with a pinch of salt and pepper if you really need to sandwich quickly. This one does have a marinade so it will take you longer than 20 minutes, but if you want to try it yourself it’s a good, simple recipe. Here’s a quick recipe for grilled chicken thighs. ![]() Also: go the rotisserie chicken route if you want to save money. BUY OR MAKE?īOTH ARE GOOD OPTIONS: I like the flavor and spicing options you get when you grill your own chicken, but it’s hard to argue with a cooked chicken that costs less than raw. I’m pretty sure you can’t get the equivalent raw chicken parts anywhere near as cheap as buying a rotisserie chicken. How long does it take to get to the store? How much does your time cost?Ĭhicken is expensive at the moment, but these rotisserie chickens seem to be immune to big price changes caused by inflation. You can season your chicken, get it on a pan, grill, or griddle, and have it cooked in around 15 to 20 minutes. But if price or speed to the table is a requirement for you, the rotisserie option can be a good one. Swapping grilled, whole chicken parts for rotisserie chicken meat isn’t really a 1 for 1, equal swap. When you cook the chicken yourself, you obviously have full control over the seasoning and flavor and when you buy a rotisserie chicken, you get what you get (which is still usually tasty in my experience). If you just season the chicken with salt and pepper and your favorite dried spices (meaning: no marinade time) you can get the meat all cooked up and ready to sandwich in 15 minutes or so. For these sandwiches, I grilled some of the chicken outside on my gas grill and I cooked the last two thighs inside on a grill pan right before eating them. Read on! Grilled chickenįirst, we need our protein. If you are one of those who like to skip to the end of the book to see what happens at the end, you can go skip to the results here. ![]() Ingredients (click name to jump to section)įor around 22 bucks you can recreate a version of this sandwich without making a single ingredient. Let’s talk about each of the five components and decide if I think it’s worth it to make the component or add it to your next shopping list. You can buy the pesto sauce, mozzarella, and roasted red peppers and you could even substitute the grilled chicken for hunks of grocery store rotisserie chicken for a super quick sandwich. I didn’t put them into one sandwich where they were all combined, but today I’m pulling them all together for this very tasty sandwich. If you’ve been following my blog long enough and you have a great memory, you might know that I have shared individual recipes for all these components throughout the last year and a half. Sometimes sandwiches are better squished in the hand. Here’s a chicken pesto sandwich in a Dutch crunch roll. ![]() |
